p90x steps

As a woman, what advice do you have after completing P90X?
I’ve been thinking about taking that tough first step and embark on the P90X fitness journey. I used to be a year round competitive swimmer but have recently gotten out of shape. In terms of my fitness goals, I want to lose weight but develop very good muscle tone (ripped arms, shoulders, back, abs). I understand the program allows you to choose lean, classic, or doubles. Can any other women with the same fitness goals who completed P90X give me some advice and their take on the program? Thank you!
I have completed 2 rounds of p90x and am currently on my 3 round. Check out my blog to see my first 90 day results.

The program is fantastic for developing muscle tone. I started out thinking I wanted to lose weight, but quickly figured out that the pounds are not so important. I have only lost about 10 pounds, but have dropped 2 sizes and have muscle tone like never before. I actually dropped my body fat % from 21 to 15% in 90 days. I was amazed at how great the program worked.
I chose the classic version mostly because I didn’t really know anything else and that is what Tony Horton and P90X recommend for the first time. The only real difference between the classic and lean version is during classic you do strength training 3 days per week and cardio 2 days per week whereas the lean version you do strength training 2 days per week and cardio 3 days. I really liked the strength training in the classic version and think that is what contributes to the quick results. Don’t get me wrong I think you can get results with the lean also, but maybe not the muscle tone.
