p90x good for runners

How do lose bulk and get leaner?

I weigh 132, I’m 5’6 and have a body fat percentage of 19% between a size 2 and 4. I’m athletic and want to improve my performance as a runner by lightening up. I workout 5-6 times a week alternating between p90x, running, and cycling. I want to lower my body fat, as well as my weight.. 130ish seems heavy, it seems closer to 120 is a better weight.. What are some healthy ways to do that? I just started a low carb/ high protein diet, as I have been eating high carb for the last year and it has done little for my weight.

if you want to improve your running performance, i’d suggest doing MORE running…..

in regards to p90 x, if you do it with weights you will bulk up and lose weight…

when i did it, i also went to kung fu classes 14 hours a week, came home and did the p90x doubles… i went to kung fu before that, but i ramped up during that time. i typically did 6 hours a week before..

when i decided to ramp up and start the p90 doubles, i weighed 185 and could do 20 pushups in a set.. by the time i finished p90 doubles i weighed 165, could do 50 pushups without breaking a sweat on two fingers, but did it 10 times a day, and i was able to bench sets of 185 … max bench was 240 all of this was by the end of p90x…

(and it took me about 8 months to gain it all back… lol motivation to keep it up is the hardest part.)

all of that aside, i was going to say, the way to build lean muscle for one is to stretch a lot, but also to lift light weight and do a LOT of reps vs LOTS of weight and 8 reps…
