order of workouts p90x

How can I do more pull ups?
I just recently ordered P90X…for the heck of it I tried the pull-up bar..I couldnt do a single one. I plan on finishing my “Insanity” workout first (another 6 weeks) then starting the P90X. My questions is, are their any excersices or drills I can do in the mean time to improve my pull-up numbers?
I also did p90x and couldn’t do a single pull-up at first either.
If you listen to Tony on the DVD, he tells you to start off by putting a chair beneath the pull-up bar and resting one of your legs on the chair. (They demonstrate this in the video…usually the girls do it this way!) This takes a great deal of the weight off, so that you are “pulling up” less weight. But the key is to just rest your leg on the chair, don’t cheat by using your leg to push yourself up.
If you do this, you will get accustomed to the movement and start developing those muscles. You will get stronger over time…and pretty soon, you’ll be able to do it without the chair!
It works!…I know from experience! Don’t get discouraged…Keep at it!
