doing p90x without diet
How do I get toned without putting on weight and look bulky?
I am not interested in losing any weight. I am currently on a 1500 calories a day diet, and I love it. I never get hungry, and I don’t crave on certain type of food. and I am happy with the weight I am right now. (5’5″ 107lb)
However, I am wondering how come I never have the toned athletic looking body even though I exercise on a regular basis.
Should I add some intense weight training to my regular workout program?
How do I get my body super toned without gaining any weight. (unfortunately, all the body building book I have read require to increase calories intake, and that is exactly what I do not want to do)
I just want to keep the current weight and get toned.
I am thinking about purchasing Tony Horton’s P90X, what are your suggestions. Any type of inputs will be greatly appreciated
Keep in mind that muscle burns a LOT more calories throughout the day, so sometimes you need to increase your calorie intake the accomodate that. To build muscle you need to have a high amount of protein in your diet, so even if you don’t want to eat more, try adding protein where you can. Also, if you build muscle you will gain weight for the simple reason that muscle weighs more than fat so instead of weight-watching, try keeping track of your inches, BMI and fat% instead of the pounds.
I don’t know what your current work out routine is, I’m assuming you do cardio, so try adding weights to your ankles and wrists when you run, and various excercises with a variety of free weights. I have no idea what that machine is, so I can’t help you with that.
